FoodSafeR Project: Innovating Food Safety in Europe

FoodSafeR is a Horizon Europe project led by FFoQSI, uniting 19 top European academic, research, and industry organizations to develop a new generation of future-oriented tools for assessing and managing emerging food safety hazards and associated risks. This initiative aims to ensure the highest standards of food safety across Europe, addressing both microbial and chemical hazards.

Comprehensive Approach to Food Safety

The FoodSafeR project adopts a collaborative co-creation approach to develop an extensive array of resources. This includes frameworks, tools, methods, strategies, models, guidance, and training materials. By leveraging cutting-edge science, these resources are designed to tackle emerging food safety hazards and the associated risks of contaminants. The goal is to equip professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain and enhance food safety standards in a rapidly evolving landscape.

The FoodSafeR Open Digital Hub

A cornerstone of the FoodSafeR project is the FoodSafeR Open Digital Hub. This platform will serve as a one-stop-shop, bringing together a community of professionals from the European and international food safety system. The hub will provide access to the comprehensive suite of resources developed by the project, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among food safety experts.
