FoodSafeR Presented at the Successful R&I in Europe 2025 Event

The FoodSafeR project was recently presented to the broader European research and innovation community during the R&I in Europe 2025 event—an important gathering focused on showcasing forward-looking initiatives funded under the Horizon Europe framework.

The presentation was delivered by Cristina Fernández Avila Fernández of IRIS Technology Solutions, a key partner in the project. Her talk offered an overview of FoodSafeR’s objectives, emphasizing our commitment to transforming food safety practices across Europe through innovation, digitalization, and collaboration.

A central element of the presentation was the FoodSafeR Open Digital Hub—a dynamic platform currently under development that will serve as a central resource for food safety professionals. The Hub aims to facilitate access to risk assessment tools, case studies, knowledge-sharing features, and digital solutions, enhancing our collective capacity to address microbial and chemical hazards in the food supply chain.

By participating in this high-level event, FoodSafeR contributed to important conversations about the future of food safety and demonstrated how our co-creation-driven approach aligns with Europe’s vision for a safer, smarter, and more sustainable food system.

As we continue to engage with stakeholders and share the progress of our work, we remain focused on delivering practical, science-based tools that support proactive risk management and strengthen public trust in food systems.

FoodSafeR is proud to be part of this broader movement toward a resilient, data-informed, and collaborative food safety ecosystem in Europe.
