We are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone within the FoodSafeR community: Rudolf Krska, from FFoQSI, has been awarded the Nils Foss Excellence Prize 2024, a prestigious international recognition presented at the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet).
This award acknowledges Rudolf’s outstanding scientific contributions to food safety, particularly through the development of innovative analytical solutions that are transforming how we detect and manage risks in the food supply chain. His work directly supports the core mission of FoodSafeR: to build more resilient, science-driven food safety systems across Europe and beyond.
Since its launch in 2016, the Nils Foss Prize has recognized pioneers who advance food safety, promote sustainability, reduce waste, and improve fairness in global food production. Rudolf’s recognition is a testament to both the impact of his individual research and the broader momentum of the FoodSafeR project.
His achievements reinforce the value of collaboration across disciplines and demonstrate how scientific excellence can lead to real-world improvements in the safety and quality of our food.
This recognition also reflects the growing visibility and credibility of the FoodSafeR initiative within the international food safety landscape. As we continue to pursue innovation, excellence, and impact, acknowledgements like this serve as meaningful validation of the work being carried out across the consortium.
We look forward to building on this success as we move ahead with our mission to strengthen food safety systems through research, innovation, and collaboration.
